Guest Terms of Service
Last updated: October 5, 2026
These terms cover guest use of Tade restaurant pages, reservation and waitlist tools, and related management links and messages. Tade is operated by TADE TECHNOLOGIES INC., Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Contact: support@thetade.com.
These are guest terms. Restaurant owners and staff using the admin website or manager app should use the separate Operator Terms of Service and Operator Privacy Policy. Our Guest Privacy Policy explains how guest information is handled.
1. Using the guest service
Please read these terms before submitting or managing a request. Where an action asks you to accept these terms, proceed only if you agree. You must be able to make the request for yourself or have permission to act for your party. If you cannot legally consent on your own, a parent or guardian must assist you. You do not need a restaurant operator account to use the guest tools.
Provide accurate contact and visit details, use only contact information you are entitled to provide, and correct mistakes promptly. Do not submit another person's sensitive information without appropriate permission.
2. The restaurant and your visit
Tade supplies software. The restaurant controls its availability, opening hours, menu, booking rules, seating decisions, and dining service. A displayed time or wait estimate is not a guarantee of immediate seating or a particular table. Joining a waitlist does not create a reservation.
Review the restaurant's applicable cancellation, late-arrival, party-size, and other rules before submitting. Contact the restaurant directly about food, accessibility, allergies, special arrangements, charges imposed by the restaurant, or a dispute concerning your visit. An optional note helps communicate a request but does not establish that the restaurant has reviewed or accepted it.
3. Managing reservations and waitlists
Use the confirmation page or private management link to check the recorded details. Available changes depend on the restaurant's settings, deadlines, capacity, and the request's current status. Some staff-created bookings require you to contact the restaurant to make changes. If a change cannot be completed online, contact the restaurant rather than assuming it took effect.
Restaurants can update, cancel, or decline requests, including for operational reasons, inaccurate information, or misuse. Tell the restaurant promptly if you cannot attend. Attendance, cancellation, and no-show history may be recorded and used by that restaurant when managing later requests.
4. Guest records and communications
Your request may be linked to a guest profile for that restaurant using matching phone or email details. The restaurant can use the profile for later online or staff-entered bookings, retain names, contact details, preferences and notes, review visit history, and correct information. See the Guest Privacy Policy for details and your choices.
Where enabled and authorized, operational emails can include confirmations, material changes to party size, date or time, cancellations, and reminders. Not every edit produces a message. Messages can be delayed, blocked, or unavailable; check the recorded request and contact the restaurant when timing matters. Keep management links private because anyone with a valid link may be able to view or manage that request.
5. Transactional text messages
Tade sends transactional texts on the restaurant's behalf where texting is enabled and consent applies. Providing an optional phone number for an online reservation does not itself authorize reservation texts. Waitlist texts and eligible staff-created reservation texts use separate consent flows. Review the notice shown when joining or giving consent. Messages concern the relevant visit or booking, such as waitlist confirmation, table-ready alerts, updates, or cancellation.
Message frequency varies, typically one to three messages per waitlist visit or staff-created booking. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. You may also contact the restaurant or support@thetade.com. We do not send marketing text messages. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Opting out of SMS does not itself cancel a request; use the management page or contact the restaurant.
6. Acceptable use
Do not make fraudulent or abusive bookings, impersonate others, send unlawful content, misuse another guest's link, scrape personal information, interfere with the service, or attempt unauthorized access. Tade and restaurants may restrict access or requests where reasonably necessary to protect guests, operations, security, or legal compliance.
Tade and its licensors retain rights in the service software, design, and branding. You may use the guest tools for their intended purpose. You retain your rights in information you submit and allow it to be processed as needed to provide the requested service.
7. Availability and responsibility
When using Google Maps features, you agree that your use is subject to the then-current Google Maps Additional Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
Features and restaurant participation can change. We use reasonable care to operate Tade, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free information, message delivery, or restaurant performance. Third-party maps, communications networks, and linked services are also subject to their own terms and availability.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Tade is not responsible for losses caused by a restaurant's independent conduct, inaccurate information you provide, misuse of your management link by someone you shared it with, or interruptions beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or removes consumer, privacy, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Changes, questions, and applicable law
We may revise these terms and will update the date above. Material changes will receive notice or renewed acceptance where required. Changes do not remove rights relating to an existing request that applicable law protects.
Contact the restaurant first about a visit, and contact support@thetade.com about Tade. Subject to mandatory protections in your location, these terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Nothing here requires you to waive a forum or remedy that applicable law gives you.
